I wonder what the snowline is? It doesn’t appear to have warmed up yet.

Might take a sneaky drive up the mountain before heading to work.

Rain has turned to graupel so maybe not worth driving up. I don’t want to crash again.

Absolutely dire drive to work. Nearly careered into a roundabout and had people driving up my arse.

Light shower passed through with some snowflakes evident on the cars afterwards. More on the way by the looks of it.

had a nice little flurry here about 7am on the mid louth coast .... nice dusting on the ground still. Bizarrely there is more on the ground now than there was during the beast from the east - that even went straight from the sea over our heads and dumped itself about half a mile down the road !

A very nice scene this morning! About an inch of snow on the ground! The clouds still look snowy, but the front coming down over the east of the country will suppress shower activity over here. Maybe we could get lucky again later tonight after the front has passed. After that it looks like our chance of snow is gone for a while. Hopefully some other places that have missed out so far can get some over the next few days.

I am a long time lurker on this forum but rarely post. We had a very short snow shower in Tullamore but with the frozen ground it was enough to give us a winter wonderland for about an hour. Thaw well set in now and nearly all gone.

Thaw is underway here as you'd expect, but still a decent bit left. Some should survive till tonight, assuming we don't get any rain showers. I thought after dark conditions might be right for snow again, but it doesn't look like they will be.

I just saw a photo of the canal at Maynooth Harbour almost fully frozen over. I only walked by that part yesterday afternoon and there was no sign of freezing. One of the hardest frosts I can remember in these parts.
