I'll be filming around Dublin City Centre with the boys from MTV's Jackass all weekend, and need a great costume to wear on Sunday and possibly Saturday also! I think the Fig Roll costume would be only perfect!! Would get plenty of exposure also :)

I'm spending Halloween on a boat, sailing the seven seas - looking for pirates, to steal their costumes because I'm a financially unenviable position and can't afford to buy one! And there's no way in hell I'm dressing up as a black sack again this year.... Just saying..

I'll be wearing mine to the Oireachtas na Samhna I need it for Friday morning please

    EEEEEEEEKKKKKK! AMAZING!

Firstly on Sat night I'd be hitting every place in Dublin City Centre giving a prize for the best dressed - as I'd be a frickin shoe in! Especially if I bring fig roll bribes!

BUT SUNDAY is the real Halloween and I have friends coming home from London and Rome and I would love nothing more than to collect them in the AIRPORT on Sunday in my full rig out. I'd previously told them they'd be missing the festivities but in this rig out how the hell could I resist! I'd wear it all day long, because I hate that people might celebrate on the wrong day!ha

Right, we're closing the competition now and we're picking a winner. I'll post the details once that's done and I'll PM the winners for their details later on.

    Thanks everyone for entering.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,840 ✭✭✭Dav

The winners (as picked by the people running the competition) are:
Congrats to the 5 people above - I'll be PMing you now to get your details so we can get the prize on it's way to you first thing in the morning so you'll have it for the weekend.

I also think people should provide pictures on Monday morning of themselves in the costumes ;)

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,584 ✭✭✭PCPhoto

not wanting to sound like a bad looser but 2 of the winners are first posts ... which suggests a possibility of setup.

I thought the competition was for boards users - surely someone with a first post isn't a boards user and set up an account to enter the competition (possibly a member with multiple accounts entering multiple times- which isnt permitted - or possible someone connected with the promoter who was told all they needed to do was sign up and post something)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,840 ✭✭✭Dav

I always run a check on these things to make sure it's not someone entering more than once and now that I have the names and addresses of the winners, I can assure you that they're well spread out across the country (the promoter's office is here in Dublin).

As for people with one post not being boards users - the site has a 1:4 member to guest ratio at any given time. If a competition encourages some of these lurkers to register and post, then I'm all for that.
