Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

I would like to express my deep sympathy to the husband, extended family and friends of Savita Halappanavar who died so tragically in Galway recently. Whatever the reasons for her death I wish it had not taken place for at least another 50 years and that she had died in Ireland, in her own bed surrounded by her children…

Whatever the reasons for her death I wish it had not taken place for at least another 50 years and that she had died in Ireland, in her own bed surrounded by her children and grandchildren, some of whom had Irish blood in their veins.
