Hi I'm just wondering if someone could recommend something for cleaning food laden area's such as the above? Ideally something that would disinfect as well as clean?

    Thanks

    K:)

What works for the sink will not necessarily work for the fridge because there's no airflow inside the fridge. Bicarbonate of soda or diluted lemon juice typically does a good job inside a fridge. You can use more aggressive (and smelly) cleaners in open areas such as the sink and food preparation areas, like Milton as already mentioned or possibly another mild disinfectant like Savlon.

Milton also gets my vote - make sure you allow the fridge to totally dry (with the door open) before you put the food back in. A little bowl of bicarb at the back of the fridge really helps with smells (always a plus) between cleans. Milton have a handy spray that works great on the fridge/sink etc. and isn't too strong smelling.
