Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Moya Doherty of Riverdance. What's with those terrible glasses? Looks like she's wearing an iron cast bridge across her face.

    Bono. But there might be a medical issue there in fairness.

    Yeah Bono had glaucoma apparently, has spoken of it a few times

    Sonya Lennon. I know she works in the fashion industry but they look like big timber windows on her face. Her hairstyle doesn't do much for her either. Shes only 50 but actually quite good looking ordinarily.

    Those Deirdre Barlow glasses were extremely popular in the 80's.

    A funny thought just occurred to me. I don't think I've ever watched any soap episode for longer than 10 minutes and yet I know who those two are in that picture and what decade it's from.

    I see Susie Dent is now wearing glasses on Countdown. I wouldn't say they're terrible. In actual fact they give her the appearance of a nerdy librarian. Quite nice actually.
