Not sure if anybody noticed (I only seen now) that the HIRLAM model has now ceased operation.

There seems to be an up to date run of the Hirlam 0.1° 18z on Meteociel-or is this a completely different model?

Huge amount of rain forecast for the UK this week with warnings already in place for the middle of the week.

Need to keep an eye on the E and NE this week, could be seeing warnings also especially Weds/ Thurs and into Fri in the E with slow moving frontal rain.

Poor temps under the cloud.

Another weather system possible coming into the SW on Fri.

Coming in to the more reliable time frame and models showing some heavy rain next Sunday into Monday, specifics will firm up over the coming days but there is suggestion of some heavy falls, models differing on locations a bit at this stage. Looks mild and humid on Sunday in that SE / E 'ly flow. Will be monitoring the thunderstorm potential along with many others no doubt. High Theta E readings given the source. Monday looking warm, into the 20's in parts after potentially a lot of rain so probably feeling warm with the humidity.

Charts all in fair agreement of high rainfall accumulations along S coastal counties. Could be heavy locally also where thunderstorms break out.

met eireann have lowered their temperature expectations for Thursday and Friday. Yesterday they were going with 28C, today on RTE they were mentioning highs of 25 or 26C for Thursday and Friday. Still I'll take it, once we get a few days over 20C this week i'll be happy.

Can anyone firm up on precipitation between now and Sunday. Are these thundershowers a widespread certainty. It mentions rain Saturday. Is this weekend not likely to be dry. Any pointers at all be appreciated.

Saturday will see fresher air moving in and a chance of rain or showers. Sunday will be back to average conditions.

Looks mostly dry Wednesday to Friday, those should be the sunnier and warmer days.

Thunderstorms will be very hit and miss with many places avoiding them altogether. Still can't rule out a few showers today and tomorrow.

I wouldn't take any detail Met Eireann say too seriously, they contradict themselves in the space of a few paragraphs on many bulletins.

What's the updated view on Saturday. Any update on yesterday. Could the the dry spell extend out even 1 day. Appreciate your wisdom.

Saturday is the breakdown of the warm snap, Met Eireann are forecasting heavy rain for Saturday morning clearing with fresher conditions following by the afternoon. Still a bit unclear with the timing as it's 3 days away.
