Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Received a call from Bluestone Finance earlier, we have our car finance with them, it finishes in January and we pay 188Euro a month

    After the bog standard security questions it went like this....


    Agent : "In this difficult time we'd like to offer you help that we're offering our customers, you can defer your next 2 monthly payments and add them onto end of your agreements, so in your case, instead of your finance finishing in January, it will finish in March, there is zero extra APR/Interest for this"

    Me : "That sounds good, surely there must be a catch"

    Agent : "No, no APR/Interest added, we're doing it to help out people in hard times, there is however a fee of 70 per month for this"

    Me : "So you're adding approx 35/40% extra to a monthly payment and say you're doing me a favour, how can you keep a straight face when saying this"

    Agent : "A lot of our customers are happy with this offer"

    Me : "Yep, the one's that cant do simple maths probably are"

    Oldish post I know, I’m with Bluestone, have another 20 installments left to pay, next time I’ll hit the credit union.
