There is no listing for "carer" in all the car insurance guff under occupation, and I absolutely am not putting unemployed, as I'm working harder now looking after my Mum full time than I ever did at work.

Did people phone the insurers when your renewal came up to tell them you were now a full time carer? Was there much difference in price when you told them?

    Thank you

Is there not an “other” box?

    Can you select "House Wife".

'Care assistant' is usually there as an option....

Couldn't bring myself to put "housewife" (not married) but I hadn't thought of the "care assistant" Will give that one a go. Thank you!

(Can't remember seeing an "Other" option, as I would have used that if I'd seen it)

    Thanks!
