Morning all. Looking for a recommended Family Law practice in the midlands (Portlaoise) that can also deal with safety/protection orders.

It would be of enormous help.

    Thank you.

I’m also looking for a good family law solicitor in regards to custody / access. I’m not happy with mine and am getting completely smashed by the oppositions legal team.

Did anyone get any recommendations, if so could you pm me please?

Me too please. Specifically one who fights passionately for the fathers rights. Anywhere in Leinster will do.

One of the fathers (unmarried, foreigner in a relationship with an Irishwoman) in the group I attend used Violet Behan in Kildare town and she was very effective in securing full parenting rights for him. He had to endure a savage series of false allegations in the criminal court beforehand but, with the help of recordings, he was cleared of everything.

I'd advise you to get in touch with a support group - https://www.mensaid.ie/contact-us/; https://www.talk2us.ie/; https://www.meetup.com/saol-nua-dublin-support-group-for-separated-divorced-people/events/ - without delay as there are a lot of guys going through similar and it's their only outlet. Women are much better at getting support, but in family law guys need much more help as the prejudices of the judges are still somewhere around the year 1937 - and vote 'Yes' to remove the "women's place is in the home" clause (Article 41.2) from Bunreacht na hÉireann in the referendum this November.

I agree, judges are complete lazy cowards in family law.
