Poor kick from Bleyendaal there, Munster really need to get points on the board soon in this half

Side to side, schoolboy stuff, not even taking it to the line and then passing. I’d love to see what a decent, proven coach could do with them.

Honestly shocking that they haven't hired a better, more experienced coach by now.

The five minutes on either side of half time has killed Munster.

Time to roll the dice and bring Hanrahan on at ten

Agreed. Felt sorry for Itoje (very unusually for me) after that dreadful penalty award.

The penalty where he was resting on Beirne’s back?

The try was relentless pressure, but that penalty came all from Munster mistakes started with an awful kick from Tyler

No chance. If the dice is to be rolled get Alby on at 9.

Munster thinking they can get into a European final by kicking the ball away and not playing any rugby have another thing coming

Murray has been awful all season

Can't see him turning it around for World Cup

Mike Haley terrible under high ball today

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,313 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

This one is over. Not going to come back from 13 down against Saracens.

Munster have the same issues that haven't prevented them from progressing in previous years. Pack isn't good enough, attacking play is poor. Still well behind Leinster and the other top teams in Europe.

Wouldn't give Munster a prayer from here but I still feel the nature of the defeat will be important given the last 2 seasons.

Don't think Murray's been that bad today?

Saracen was a term widely used among Christian writers in Europe during the Middle Ages to refer to Arabs and Muslims. The term's meaning evolved during its history

Always wondered where the name came from

Munster are just not at that elite level in Europe anymore and might be there for another while yet

Beirne had been very quiet so far.

The Saracens attack is relentless. Comfortably the best team in the tournament this season.

Amazes me how the Vunipola decoy out the backdoor works everytime. It's just free metres.

awful to see the game done at 50mins.

munster just lack some attacking moves.
looks like a training ground game for sarecens now.

    Got good penalty

Gave away stupid penalty before half time

    Box kicks not been good

Stupid decision to offload to Haley for knock on

Munster looked much better before they started kicking away possession every time they gained it which was... around the 30min mark?

That's all she wrote. Another year, same sh*t

Among other things, Jones HAS to go

That was really dumb by Scannell

Some? They lack an actual attack, full stop.
The forwards can’t win every game, if a team gets parity there, Munsters game is almost always done.

Jones is getting away with murder.

Men against boys. Munster have brought a generally pretty decent defence. And that’s it. Every other facet, Saracens just utterly dominating. Time to throw caution to the wind.

    Itoje invisible

Ah now he's not the only player to give away stupid penalties today.

He's been better than what we've come to expect so far this season. Think there are bigger problems for Munster than Murray.

Munster lack quality. Too much huff and puff, not enough guile.

They went through about 30 phases there for almost no ground.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,129 ✭✭✭Dubinusa

Thus far, Itoje is a giant amongst boys. Beirne and Kleyn are no shows.
Neither of them are even close to his level.
Felix Jones is holding Munster back.
There's no imagination in Munsters back line.
JVG needs to bring in a top level attack coach.

The absolute lack of shape in munsters backline after less than half a dozen phases is appalling.
