Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    I'm in Cork. Samsung Freezer 5 years old has packed in. Went online and was offered 25% discount off replacement model if purchased from Samsung Shop online - fair enough I said. 5 years not good enough for this product but at least there doing something - oh by the way only applies in UK, not an option in ROI. Next option is repair by their certified agent - fair enough, the guy I had look at it didn't think it would be fixed but maybe their specialist would sort - Oh but he is in Dublin. Can you imagine the callout charge?
    I had always thought of Samsung as a premium brand with good service - am I alone in finding their support service unacceptable?

    Premium brand on certain products. Phone tablet etc yes I wouldn't buy a Samsung TV or American fridge when there are far better products

    OP if you Google refrigeration engineers in Cork there are 30 listed, any one of them should be able to diagnose the fault, the most common fault with these units is faulty defrost elements or sensor
