Mermaid primary school poem.... as Gaeilge

    This is keeping me awake! Trying to remember (for some bizarre reason) a poem from school over 25 years ago now and no clue why today it jumped back into my head and now I really want to know the words again.

    It's in Irish and I'm massively stuck after the first line which god knows might also be wrong! Spelling is definitely wrong

    amuigh ar carraig uaigneach bhi muruch ina suí

    Scathan i lamh amhain *something* in lamh eile *something something*.......

    That's all I remember, it's about some mermaid sitting on a rock thinking she's the business as far as I know!

    Anyone remember it????

    Amuigh ar charraig aonair
    Bhí Murúch ina suí,
    Scáthán i lámh amháin aici
    Sa lámh eile cíor bhuí.
    Chíor sí a cuid gruaige
    Is d’fhéach sí uirthi féin:
    ‘M’anam ort! Is tú an bhean
    Is áille faoin ngréin!’
