Anybody know if Oosthuizen withdrew before he started his round ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,536 ✭✭✭Dolph Starbeam

    Few small bets this week;

    Dufner @ 50/1
    Sang Moon Bae @ 80/1
And following Kew with Finau, though I could only get him at 100/1 with PP.

Thanks for the info. That means he didn't tee off.

That'll be my biggest return on the golf this year I reckon.

Jesus Bubba has been very very disappointing after such a good start. Thought he was going to streak away.

Took me a couple of hours to decide between Snedeker and Leishman.

Willet was the tough choice over McDowell.

I like my stats as much as anyone but if you play golf you will know that one day you'll hole out really well and others u won't so no amount of stats can predict that.
What did u do for 2 hours and why take 2 hours to decide between just 2 players, just back them both( obviously)

I drank some coffee (some pretty good Vietnamese coffee at that) and puffed on my vape. Taking time to decide didn't mean extra scrutinising. Just reflection.

I won't be backing 2 players in the same competition again although maybe in running I will.

To be honest I'm getting slightly disenchanted backing in the golf. I've not had fantastic success and the amount of players who get in to winning / striking positions and then fold is becoming boring to me.

Other reasons too - Time difference and travel doesn't allow me to watch as much as I would like.

I'm not having much luck myself, tbh I think I might just pick a couple of golfers that I think will win a comp this year and back them every week,
Last years player was Chris kirk, obliged @100/1
A few that interest me at decent prices are Brendan Steele and Brian stuard

I can see nothing wrong with that approach.

    Maybe 2-3 golfers.

A tidy player for short courses.

A bomber for the longer courses.

A grinder for the tougher courses.

I do like looking at course form and recent form but going with the above saves time and possible heartache.

I always analyse a comp after the event and I can tell you for sure more often that not the players in the first few generally putted and scrambled the best but would have been hard to pick out on course/recent form

3 of the top 4 shoot over par on the final day in Europe. Another example of weak mentalities.

Looks like about any 1 of 40 guys could win in America later.
