Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

I was just looking at one of Occy's posts and I got to wondering what brought him, a doctor living in the US, to Boards.ie. I first heard about Boards from a classmate of Cloud's who was working with me, but at the time it didn't mean anyhting much to me. I only got into Boards after I'd subscribed to the IIU mailing list…

After about a half year in the barren wastes of Wireplay and Barrysworld CS servers , i stumbled upon Gameshop1 and was amazed to find organised Irish Gaming ,some kind soul pointed me towards boards.ie , It was my homepage within the week , Thankyou btw
