Hey everyone, hope ye're enjoying the summer!

One of the first things we need to give you a heads-up about is to do with an external service. There are some amazing communities across Boards.ie, who share photos, often through a third-party website. One such site, Photobucket, has changed its offering and is forcing people to upgrade their accounts to share their photos on a third-party website such as Boards. You may have seen this pop up on a couple of threads, which is a shame. You can upload directly by using the Manage Attachments button under the Advanced Editor, which allows you to find images on your computer, or via the Responsive Site.

On that note, there's a couple of photo sharing threads that I'd like to highlight (though there are many great ones!). It looked like the Photography forum's Photo Challenge was going to come to a halt, but some weren't willing to let that be the case. A new challenge is running, encouraging users to share photos from "Around my House and Garden," while the next challenge - "People" will get underway on July 16th.

Meanwhile, the Farming & Forestry forum's latest photo competition has kicked off. This month, users are tasked with taking photos of wildlife on the farm.

One recently launched forum, Social Media & Blogging, is up and running properly now. So far, discussions have included the practice of showcasing that a social media post has been sponsored, favourite bloggers, and the inclusion of family and friends within content, and there's plenty of scope with bloggers, vloggers, and social media folk becoming more and more influential.

It's not a new forum, but perhaps you're seeing mention of the Ranting & Raving forum; it's a private forum, but you can request access to it, along with the Sex & Sexuality forum, Online Dating forum, and Politics Café 2.0, here.

Over in the Forum Requests forum, support is currently being sought for an Emulation sub- or fully fledged forum. Some would say that video games were much better a long time ago, and emulation is a way to tap into precious memories or perhaps realise that not everything is as rosy as was thought.

A couple of forums will likely be busier for the next month or two. If you're eagerly awaiting the McGregor/Mayweather showdown, you'll want to tip over to the Boxing and MMA forums from time to time ahead of the clash on August 26th.

We recently had McGregor's coach, John Kavanagh, on to do an AMA. Obviously he was keeping some cards close to his chest, but he had some interesting things to say. I was hoping that McGregor might dust off his old account to make a whirlwind appearance, but it wasn't to be :D

There's a couple of interesting threads that I'd like to highlight before I wrap this up. Firstly, Alek is currently in the process of "Everesting" Ticknock. This entails cycling around 200km across 34 repeats of the hill. Feel free to lend moral support either on the thread or in person! You can follow his progress, see pictures, and chime in that he's a bit mad here.

Meanwhile, aidankkk recently wrapped up his 100 Bets to Broke Festival Fever, making 124 points profit. BUT they noted themselves that you need a bankroll to go for a challenge like this, as at one point in time they were -64 (that's €640 at €10 a point, for context). Still, it was an interesting thread to follow and many will be hoping that they'll go for another soon.

And finally, the Motors forum has launched another Pictures of Bad Parking thread, so if you find yourself getting annoyed by bad or obnoxious parking, you can trade in a photo for internet thanks, the most precious of precious commodities!
