Just picked up a bag of horse manure from B&Q.

I have a young tree that I need to boost so how exactly do I apply the manure?

Do i just shovel it around the base and off I go? Is there anything in particular I need to do?

Does its minerals just gravitate downward to the rots?

Just put it around the tree but not up against the trunk.

You can lightly dig it in to topmost 2 inches, or just apply on top. It will break down into the soil very quickly either way.
