Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    That was some match. Didn’t think Anderson was going to recover when Mensur got back to 17-17. He was all over the place for 3 or 4 legs, think he thought he had it done?
    Then that bounce out. He has rotten luck at the worst of times but has bottle in spades. Deserving winner.

    An absolutely brilliant final. It's the best I've seen Mensur play over such a long format. Great respect for each other two.

    There's nothing like a proper tournament like this.

    Anderson tapping the turbo to go one away

    Mensur levelling it with one of the most clutch shots I’ve ever seen.

    Could see Gary got annoyed at the bull bounceout, had had two fall out a couple of legs before

    great event - great final - every game anderson played was a cracker
    worthy winner
    mensur played his part - a much better player than i ever thought he would be

    anderson is having a good year with winning the uk open also
    nearly back to 2nd in the world

    wonder how mvg will react in next few months

    Going to put my annual wager on Anderson for the Worlds. Scores heavily, decent on doubles and good under pressure, if his back holds up he'll be there or thereabouts.

    Mensur is now 6th in the world and I think he did more than play his part in the final. He played exceptional darts to force the extra legs and had he won he'd have deserved it. He always talks himself down and shows a lot of deference to the big name players but he knows he can give them a serious run for their money.

    i think only for shoulder injury anderson would have gone close to win the worlds again last year
    this year he has stepped things up again
