Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Is the top one of the Swilly looking at it from the Manor/Derry Road side across to the Glebe end of Letterkenny kind of.

    Sorry for the banjacksed description of place names, my mind seems t have gone blank

    P.S. in the unlikely event I'm correct somebody else can take my turn at posting a picture or whatever way the system works

    Guessed the same for the Swilly - seeing that I always marvelled at how they might have gotten coal boats in to the port.

    I'd guess for the other two being further up the Derry road close to Burt.

    The swilly one is right, the second one is down the newtown area too, jes i thought it'd be a bit harder to get than that! It's a place called portlough.
    The photos were taken on the hill to your left about a 1-1.5 miles out the killea road from newtown. its very hard to see the lough from the killea road. its rumoured that there is the remains of a castle at the bottom of the lake somewhere, local folklore(not sure on the correct spelling).

    That would be Rathlin O'Birne, seen in daylight here.

    I think this is DUnfanaghey too. The small beach just before you come to it? Port na blagh?
