Celbridge to city centre

    Hi,
I’m moving to Celbridge soon from Leixlip. I need to be on Gardiner St in the morning before 8.30am for work. I’ve thought about a few different ways of doing the commute. Just wondering if anyone has experience of either getting the Hazelhatch train at 7.36am (and driving to the train station from Celbridge Village) and how long that takes in total to get to Connolly, or getting the 7.25am 120 Bus Eireann from Celbridge Village into town.
    Thanks.

What part of Celbridge village are you in? If you're in OTM getting to Hazelhatch can take anything from 6 minutes to 30 minutes (if there's a crash/incident on the M4) - Also don't forget the 5 minute walk/3minute run to get to platform 4 - that one nearly caught me out before. If you're on the Main Street then you should be grand getting either. Not sure which is the longer walk when you get into town either (120 is Bachelor's Walk, train is Drumcondra or Connelly)

And a great service the 120 is too!

http://www.journeyplanner.transportforireland.ie gives you many of the options. You can set your desired arrival time too....I would set it earlier than 8.30 just to be sure.

Really close to the Main Street. I’ve heard the traffic is far worse than Leixlip so I wasn’t sure about driving to the train.
    Thank you!

Would you say it’s reliable time wise? I’ve heard bus eireann are known for being late a lot?

To be fair to them it's the volume of traffic on the motorway!
There should have been a bus lane put on the motorway but that
would only be forward thinking and it would have confused everyone!
