Actually that could be a really good call.

So after all the hype and articles about how they wanted ordinary members of the public to apply for the job, how "you could be the one" etc etc, Matt Le Blanc gets it.

A splash of genius by the BBC -Le Blanc, Sabine Schmitz and the other bloke.

If the get Sabine they could have USA vs Germany vs UK cars theme

Heh, it's funny how much people's reactions have turned around after hearing about Matt being hired.

My interest has definitely gone up a bit now.

I might start watching it again

Now if Matt LeBlanc is doing this as his "Episodes" character than this is going to be extremely entertaining, if it's just Matt LeBlanc than I'm not sure if it's going to be that entertaining.

Now if they'd just fire Chris Evans we'd be onto a winner.

Eddie Jordan to be added, not sure about that at all.

Whenever I've seen Matt LeBlanc interviewed he always came across as being as dull as dishwater. I guess he may be able to act interesting at least.

Two years? They're staying optimistic about the show so.

I think Leblanc got better, I didn't hate him and I thought that once he was out of the studio and in the cars he seemed more genuine. I'd expect he'll always be a dry wit though, very dry, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

    Eeh, done!

    Eeh, done!

Very happy with this, Evans was obviously not suited to the show,
and I felt the hodge podge of presenters meant that no real camaraderie developed.

I did actually enjoy some bits with Eddie Jordan, especially when speaking about F1. Not so much with the 'forced' challenges which I found boring.

They kinda ruined the star in a reasonably priced car bit too.
It's just sad when the celeb can't steer at all in the off road bit.

Maybe it was just Evans commentating with fake excitement that really turned me off the segment.

The BBC is now reporting that LeBlanc will stick around for one more season before heading off:
LeBlanc said that despite Top Gear being "great fun", the "time commitment and extensive travel... takes me away from my family and friends more than I'm comfortable with."

He added: "It's unfortunate, but for these reasons I will not be continuing my involvement with the show. I will forever be a Top Gear fan and I wish the team continued success. Thanks for a great drive."

From out there on the moon, international politics look so petty. You want to grab a politician by the scruff of the neck and drag him a quarter of a million miles out and say, ‘Look at that, you son of a bitch’.

Expect off-the-charts levels of LADBANTER. It'll be painful.

You haven't seen anything yet in the history of the show, unless they're told to tone it back significantly.

Flintoff currently manages to be more annoying on a TV show that also features James Corden. That's some achievement.
