Marrying before the 3 month wait period is up

    Hi everyone.
Long story short, we were due to get married the end of December, but with the current levels and what looks like further restrictions as we go in the year, we’ve now planned our wedding for a few weeks time.
Our only issue now is that the date falls before the 3 moths wait time for the registry office.

If our priest signs the form, but we don’t submit it until after the 3 months, is there any issue with that?

You have to get a judge to sign off on the date if its under 3 months. You can't get around the three month period in any other way. It won't be legal if you do what you suggest.

Thanks very much, that’s the answer I was looking for. Will have to go to a judge so.

A judge can waive the 3 month waiting period for “exceptional circumstances” and you have to provide evidence of those circumstances.
