Is the reg counting up to 90?

That must be a very late Mk2 all the same given production finished on that in Feb 89 and then the Mk 3 started.

    September 89 per NCT?

My take on the Feb 89 changeover thing.

The Mk 3 was as far as I recall only delivered to the customers around April 89.

Ford will have switched to the new model at the factory - stored them while selling last of old model.

It's likely they still had some old model Fiestas unsold when new model came.

Everyone would want the new model so you could indeed get an old model sold in September...

I remember when the Nissan Bluebird was replaced in September 1990 for the Primera.

Primera production actually started in the Sunderland factory in May 1990.

Fella in my parish had a Bluebird that was registered around April/May 1991.

Sometimes manufacturers manage this change over well - the Opel Vectra came to maket in late 1988.

But I don't recall seeing any 1989 Asconas an indication that Opel managed stock levels of Asconas well enough so that most of them were sold in 1988.

Back in the day I have seen plenty of 98 Carina's and the odd 97 Avensis knocking about. Also plenty of newer model 92 Corolla's and there was the odd older model with a 93 plate.

One from last Friday I forgot about:

It was a minter if a little dirty. Which you would expect from a well-loved Pajero.

A rare "Exklusiv" edition which was an Irish-only special edition for the last of the line 190 models before the C Class was brought into showrooms.

Manual box and manual windows as standard, but they got alloys and a slightly nicer interior than usual. That one has no rear headrests which suggests its a 1.8. Available in silver, burgundy or this nice blue:

That silver one looks a lovely example. Same owner since 2002.
