SIRO Corporate Affairs Director, Stephen O'Connor, at the FTTH council. http://www.telecomstalk.com/?p=5299 (video) Building in 6 towns currently. extra 4-5 towns to get service in the next two months. 15 (in total) by end 2016.

They're pretty flexible, but "the complete opposite side of the house" might be a big ask.

There is a big SIRO thread on the broadband forum that's worth a look.
