Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Do I need 20/20 eyesight to be a sniper in Ireland?

I want to join the Army and become a sniper, I also want to go into the Ranger Wing with the same role. I currently wear glasses with 20/30 right and 20/40 left vision. Will be allowed ?

You're jumping ahead. 20/40 (6/12) rules you out from joining the Defence Forces altogether.

Basically anyone who needs glasses to see in normal day and night conditions are out. Laser surgery recipients may not join either, unlike the Garda.
