When you're looking in there can you tell me if there is dual sim capability please! :D

Is there a simple way to check that? I've only the one sim.

Check the model number under the hood. I think 1042 and 1046 are dual, but others aren't! :)

My 3 Mobile SIM is working on it anyway. Happy days!

The model is "TA-1055" and there doesn't seem to be a slot for a second sim. Only a micro SD card beside the nano SIM.

Nice one, gonna chance buying one from Vodafone so. If it doesn't work, I'll bring it back :p

There is no Vodafone bloat installed either.

The micro SD slot might be a dual slot that could take a sim.

Still no update on my VF order. Waiting on the email to say I can pick it up from my local store.

    EDIT:

Update: Just got a call from the shop to say it's ready to be picked up.

Gorgeous hardware and design. But as I was expecting the camera is barely average. I had some hopes based on reviews but the lack of ois always kills these mid rangers.

How good is the sound output on this both via speakers and via headphones?

Does it have a good DAC or a software tuning like Maxx Audio?

    Thanks

Picked up mine this afternoon. I'm in awe. Possibly because I was upgrading from a Huawei Honor 5X , which is a low end device from couple of years ago and it's a massive improvement!

At 319 quid it's a great deal. Was nice to find a gel cover come with the phone.

Oh, and don't forget you can claim a free Google Home mini on the Nokia website here!

    https://www.nokia.com/en_gb/phones/googlehomemini

You'll have to use Parcel Motel for it to work though!

NOT IN IRELAND no operator will allow it to be dual sim

The speaker is about as loud as my Nexus 6p. No stereo sound though.
I don't see any extra settings for DAC.

Ah you had a 6p! Just wondering if you would do a camera comparision? Looking at upgrading my dad from his 6p but its hard due to the camera, he loves it too much

Just setting mine up now and I'm delighted with it so far. Will have a good play around with the camera and a few other bits in the coming days. Disappointing thing for me is that it's currently android 8.0 with February security patch even though Nokia have already pushed 8.1 with April security patch. The beauty of this phone is being android one it should receive updates for 3 years but it looks like we're at the mercy of Vodafone to push updates and I'd have my concerns that they'll keep pushing updates for a 'mid range' phone for anywhere near 3 years.

In fairness though, they have only just launched the phone so hopefully we'll see updates coming through.

    "Updates for 3 years"
For Android One, that's for security updates only?
Android system updates are for 2 years (from release date) AFAIK.

Do dual SIM phones still work here if you got one from abroad?

I'll try and get one of VF tomorrow, but in the mean time, I was looking at the SIM free versions!
They certainly won't be network locked and you can get them in dual SIM versions also :)

    So far I've found:

CPW UK: £350 ~€400 (doesn't ship to Ireland)
Argos UK: £350 ~€400 (doesn't ship to Ireland)
Argos IE €450 (besides the price hike, no stock in IE at all)
Amazon UK £350 (possibly the single SIM version, it's not very clear)

Anyone find the SIM free, dual SIM version anywhere else? :)

Initial thoughts below. Spent more time just setting up all my apps last night rather than using the phone so it's still early days.

The build quality is amazing. The bronze accents look a lot better in person (even though I would have loved the white model).
It's a lot quicker and smoother when browsing and bouncing from app to app. I'm coming from a Nexus 6p with the 810 processor. Pretty impressive.

In terms of the camera. I've not had the chance to take any low light shots. That's my way of telling if a camera is good or not.

I've taken some comparison shots on my way to work this morning.
I've enabled HDR on both the Nokia and the Nexus 6p but all other settings are default.
I'm noticing more noise in the Nokia pictures but the quality is still decent.

Someone mentioned a good camera app a few pages back? Has anyone got a link to the apk?

I'm with Three and also interested in this phone.
Is there any protective cover included?
If not, what protection are people getting for it?

Ya, a clear silicon case comes with it.
It's pretty grippy without the case so don't think i'll bother get anything

Currently have an iPhone 5, which was originally released in Sept 2012, so I expect any current mid range phone to be a big improvement for me.

Was just going to post that Argos IE has stock, but it's gone to available to order all over the country! A tad too dear at €450 anyway :)
