not directed at any individual -- but has anyone ever met someone who has genuinely used the term "snowflake" and is not a total twat?

You say no thanks and continue walking if a charity collector walks up to you and you don't want to donate to them.
Similar if somebody tries to chat you up.
If the person doesn't take no for an answer is when a issue arises!

Yep, and women face that the whole time. Some men seem to think that they know what the women really means when she says no.

Yep, incel also. What happened to being a bit of a loser and not being able to get the ride? Oh no, I'm an "incel", it's very different!

Can anyone show me any adverts directed at women that lecture them on their bad behaviour? equality and all that

When women commit the vast majority of violent crimes ,perhaps you'll have an argument. When men are paid less than women perhaps you'll have an argument. When the double standards regarding women's sexuality are applied to men perhaps you'll have an argument.

On the "grow a pair" and the "lots of snowflakes" comments; this type of mind set isn't really prevalent yet however it is starting to seep into our society. Men are being castigated for being while women get applauded for "manning up".

A mate of mine was telling a story not to long ago, a drunk girl punched him in the face because he wouldn't go home with her. Everyone burst out laughing. Swap the genders and not so funny suddenly.

First they came for the socialists...

Where's the ad for toxic femininity?

The trauma of poorly made sandwiches, badly ironed shirts and being nagged at that time of the month.

It this exact sort of attitude the ad is aimed at.

    It's just a sh*t ad really.
It's a very good ad BB. It has advertised Gillette way above background. The right on types will laud it, the WTF types will berate it and that's it, job done. Some might imagine a group of progressive/woke/limp wristed[delete as perceived] equal opportunity panel of men and women on a sponsored knit for Tibet came up with this, but it's just as likely to be a couple of blokes in a room after a liquid lunch were they leered at the bargirl thinking; how can we get the mob talking?

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Ever get a pushy chugger that won't get the message? Thats what attractive women face every day.

Yes I do, I just say in a louder voice that I'm not interested and continue walking. I've had them follow me a few paces even.

I dont think the street is a great place to tell someone they fancy them? Do you do it much? I never have. Seen hotties. Took a mental note.

Agreed, I wouldn't do it, I think it's a bit much. But I recognise that I've no business interfering. Perhaps I'd have some business interfering if the guy was my drunk ass friend making an eejit of himself. But a perfect stranger? not a hope. I've also had my bum groped, quite painfully, by a manky 20 stone Scottish wan on a hen party who had a death grip and her mates didn't see fit to stop her, rather they all cheered. Nobody interfered on my behalf mind you. It isn't exclusively men who are eejits.

Do you struggle with reading comprehension? Men can interrupt me if they want and I'll reject whatever they're selling. Women may do the same.

Saw a lot of outraged headlines and blowback but finally sat down to watch the ad and it's... fine?

I mean, it's clearly the kind of wokewashing PR strategy that many multinationals are now using appeal to millennials but I didn't find it to be hectoring or heavy-handed. Found it quite positive and surprisingly nuanced.

PUA nonsense? Like negging? Like they're doing in the ad? Come on you can do better. You barely made it over that shark (I think you actually connected with the dorsal fin).

Not really, your posting is idiotic. It's more of the same with-me-or-you're-a-horrible-person ****. I'm a leftie, I'm guessing I probably went on 4chan at some point when I was a teenager, haven't seen redpill stuff other than to laugh at it and yeah, I don't get as much action as I would like. But I think this ad is bull**** so I'm right next to those guys who are right next to a double-murderer and kidnapper. Absolutely retarded posting altogether.

Pah, have you ever been scarlet in work when your sandwiches haven't been cut by the missus into triangles?

    Toxic altogether.

I wasn't there when it happened so to be honest I cannot verify the story. Good looking lad in fairness that doesn't have any trouble attracting women. He also wouldn't be a spoofer so I've no reason to doubt him.

I thought the law was women talking to men?

Many of the rules are not actually laws, they are just rules made up on the spot by the volunteer religious police. A few years ago they prevented female students leaving a burning school building because they'd likely encounter male firefighters. That's not a law, but it's a rule they made up on the fly.

    Yeah, no.

Gillette I suspect are about to learn what the phrase 'get woke, go broke' means. They could ask EA who's wokening of Battlefield 5 lead to a stock price slump. All publicity isn't good publicity, especially when you attack your core audience.

The slump of Battlefield 5 had nothing to do with "wokening". It was a completely unfinished game. Maps missing. Game modes missing. It was also buggy and missing a single player campaign. To try and blame it's failure on a female character is optimistic at best.

The only clear thing to come from this ad and resulting thread, is that there's an entire generation of "men" who are anything but.

God be the days of real men using a blunt steak knife to shave and splashed the Brut on immediately afterwards for that bracing refreshing feeling to wake you up in the morning.

Quite a few companies had noticed this. Ever since Trump supporters started purchasing machines just to smash them up in protest at their makers withdrawing ad sponsorship. They not only get offended but they have to make sure everyone knows they are offended in spectacular fashion.

Yes but you don’t allow a third party to interrupt the 2nd party- can you understand what you wrote yourself???

Yes but misogyny there is OK, in fact it's encouraged by the same "liberals" that made this video.

To be fair women's sexuality is policed by other women. If not by nuns then by modern 'feminists'.

I would fully expect to see more of this type of advertising in mainstream media (thank fcuk for on-demand video - pay a premium for it but at least you avoid this kind of shìte), not because it sells the product, but because it creates and generates brand awareness. It’s clickbait basically, gets people talking about the brand, either positively or negatively, the point is - everyone’s talking about it.

Haven’t used Gillette in years anyway, they’re shìte, just like their advertising. I’m not upset by it, or triggered (jesus that word when anyone says anything now ), or anything else - it’s just a shìte advertising campaign is all.

It's just something I find interesting. I know a good few people who got together because they struck up conversation on the street and it was generally the man that approached the woman similar to how they'd approach somebody in a club/bar and try and talk to them.
I just wonder if you've an issue with somebody in the street trying to connect with you. Shouldn't you also have the same issue with them doing it in a pub/club?
Is it a thing people want made illegal?

That's up there in the brilliant logic stakes with video game violence makes men more violent. Hand wringing nonsense. Insert reverend Lovejoy's wife meme here.
