Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    It was snowing and sticking here in Claregalway, Co. Galway but it is already turning back to rain.

    I saw some of the biggest snowflakes I have ever witnessed in Galway this morning. It lasted around 30 mins. It was beautiful. My momma told me there'd be days like this. Don't lose hope just yet!

    sleet/wet snow here for past hour, not sticking tho far too wet.

    btw was this even forecast? I didnt think we would even see rain here today, was expecting a mostly dry day in the east!

    turned to graupel here now and starting to settle on car and grass.

    not even a weather warning on met eireann, I suspect they were caught off guard as well.

    Well Met Eireann forecast is upgrading now bit by bit. Pity they can't forecast what the charts show rather than act when things have already happened. The beeb predicted snow for ireland today 3 days ago!!

    Anyways very much the starter course with the main event moving in quickly this evening.
