Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Green mouldy stains

    Been noticing a green grimey mould like substance on the side of the back seats of a car I bought six months ago, was wondering if what I've read is correct about this being somewhat toxic, also wonder what might be causing it, no signs of a leak, it's visible only when you open back door on drivers side.

    I had this on rear seat belts on an older car, i just used a upholstery shampoo to get the stains out. It might be the result of dampness.

    What might be causing ongoing dampness? , no signs of a leak

    somebody probably left back door on drivers side open during a downpour.
    Did you feel it to test if it is damp?
    Shampoo it- then dry with hairdryer.
