    Hugely controversial call there.

It’s not really, is it? Ball was over the bar so it had to be called back.

It is almost like Cleere is trying to live up to his name as the worst ref in the sport.
How was that point the referee's fault? He was notified by the Hawkeye official.

Never seen anything like that in GAA

No Hawkeye and would most likely not have been spotted.

    Ref riding tipp
Shouldn't be a kk man as ref

You can’t blame the referee for that non goal. What can he do?

Duignan talking rubbish about giving the Wexford point retrospectively after tipp scoring their "second" goal

    Ref has lost the plot

There is nothing wrong with the point/goal decision. It was over the bar and the goal clearly can’t stand then.

Surely the John Mc Grath goal could have stood in spite of the Hawkeye decision?

It couldn’t have. The keeper didn’t take a puck out

    Big dive from Chin there

Ref could do with being more proactive with the cards, Tipperary especially are culprits.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 11,386 Mod ✭✭✭✭Hammer Archer

    Yeah. Both should have counted.
That wouldn't have been possible. It should have been a puck out if it was a point.

How has he got this semi final gig? It's borderline disgraceful now

The game wasn't restarted in the correct manner so the goal couldn't have stood

Tipp are rightfully going to be v annoyed over the ref at half time

    Fair enough.

Can someone confirm the rule?? Does the ball have to fully break the plane of the crossbar??

I really don’t think it did fully as no way keeper would have caught the ball where hawk eye said.

Ref is brutal though. No control of the game and looking to give Wexford everything.

Wexford have Tipp all over the shop at times.

The technology is there,it did it's job, correct decision to disallow the goal.

There is no way the ball was as far over the bar as Hawkeye suggested.

Seems people think he should just ignore the rules. Amazed how little people seem to know about the sport.

They said on the commentary that Hawkeye exaggerated the flight of the ball anyways.

Don't see how the sliotar went over the bar.

Paudie Maher should have done his characteristic dive... He probably would have won a free then :pac:

Another awful decision from the ref. No free there hand was wrapped around him.

Maher has got away with charging out taking about 15 steps a couple of times, lucky to get away with it as much as he does.

Too many steps taken before he met the Wexford men at all.

It shows the predicted path of the ball as if the keeper hadn't touched it

Absolutely wonderful to see Pádraic Maher done for charging / barging / over carrying.

Been getting away with it for years
