If you're having problems viewing the site, missing images, complaints about "broken scripts", slowness or garbled text, there's a chance that the problem is your browser (this thread assumes your browser is Firefox - if you have a different browser, instructions will be different, use Google).

Try using a different browser (for a while)
A quick way to determine whether or not the problem might be with your browser is to just try using a different one.
There are several well supported browsers available (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari).

If the problem does turn out to be specific to your browser, there are a couple of ways to try and fix it - they're just a bit annoying since they tend to remove useful stuff like saved passwords, etc.

If the problem doesn't occur with an alternate browser and you're satisified the problem is probably Firefox, you can try the following:

Clear cache and cookies for Boards.ie.
You can clear the cached scripts for Boards.ie by holding Ctrl + Shift + R on the keyboard while viewing a page. You may need to do this on several pages (a new reply page, a showthread page, a send pm page, etc) in order to clear as much as possible.

You can clear your cookies for boards.ie (this will log you out) by going to Tools -> Options -> Privacy and selecting the remove individual cookies option. Type .boards.ie into the search box and remove anything at the boards.ie domain.

    Completely Reinstall Firefox.
This is a bit of a nuclear option, but if nothing else is working it'll almost certainly do the trick as a last resort. This will remove bookmarks, saved passwords, history, the lot, so be warned :)
There's a lot of extra information that isn't removed on a "normal" uninstall, some of which may be causing the problem - you can clear this data by following the instructions on this page.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
