I came across this when inspecting a ford fiesta for a young lad from up the road. He asked me to check it out for him as he was thinking of buying it.
On seeing this sight, I almost dropped the bonnet with laughter and turned quickly on my heel to walk away, dragging him with me.

Does anybody notice what's wrong with the above? :D

It looks very clean. Then I see the belt was done at 137k. I'm confused.

i believe his point is that he reckons nothing was changed, and that the writing was put there to decieve people who would not realise that it didnt have a timing belt, they'd just be fooled into thinking it had been looked after

Two empty clips at the top left are missing some cables?

Something looks broken at the bottom right?

  • Registered Users Posts: 541 ✭✭✭David09

The engine was marked as the belt was replaced but there is no timing belt in a 1.3 fiesta

There's fun to be had with this! A steady stream of inquiries about when and where the timing belt was done? Any receipts? Would you mind if my own mechanic had a look? Ye know ye want to lads...
