Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    sorry I haven't come back to this .... So one or 2 had aimed to finish last with the understanding that they would get the earlier picks in each draft round ... whith the proposed changes above that was no longer the case soooooo..

    my compromise:

    start of season 2:
    Based on league standings in season1:

    round1... team that finished LAST gets pick1, team that finished FIRST gets last pick
    round2... team that finished LAST gets pick1, team that finished FIRST gets last pick
    round3... team that finished FIRST gets pick1, team that finished LAST gets last pick

    start of season 3:
    Based on league standings in season2:

    Serpent style draft:

    round1... team that finished LAST gets pick1, team that finished FIRST gets last pick
    round2... team that finished FIRST gets pick1, team that finished LAST gets last pick
    round3... team that finished LAST gets pick1, team that finished FIRST gets last pick
    Extra pick1 : Cup Winner
    Extra pick2 : Shield Winner

    Subsequent seasons:
    Repeat of start of season3 based on leageu position in the previous season

    Only transfers between the seasons drafts sessions allowed are newly added players or deals lined up between managed teams to trade draft positions.

    And here's me going all out to win the cup this season :D

    Kind of had a feeling the rules about cup winners wasn't coming in this season due to the announcement being made half way through the season but thought I'd chance it!

    I have to be honest, I kinda just want to sell all my players and only play the young newly adds that'll be coming in when we reach turn 21. Would people view this as bad form if I did? I wouldn't even be doing it to finish last every season. I just like having each of my gameworlds a little distinguishable from each other so that each offers me something a little different from the rest.

    you are free to run your team as you see fit man...

    surely only being able to buy 3 'good' players per season is different from other GWs ;)

    One wouldn't normally get the chance to play these kids so it would be nice to be able to play them for the first few seasons while adding top class, more experienced players to the squad.

    It would give me a feel that I'm actually building my own team from the ground up.
