I wanted ONE box of Victoria biscuits today - Super Valu were 2 for €8 but it seemed that one was also €8.

(Anyway got one in Tesco this evening for €5 and got rid of a pocketful of small change as well)

My family has this kinda annoying Christmas tradition of giving every male member in the family socks for Christmas.
My sister called me today, she was doing present shopping and carried it to the post office straight away to send it to Ireland.
My partner now gets at least 3 sock gifts and I'm secretly embarrassed that my family still keeps this up....

My workplace is too stingy to provide us with washing up liquid in the kitchen, and it usually falls on myself or what may be just one other person to buy it (sometimes a fresh bottle just appears). I don't mind doing this as its cheap, and I bring in both breakfast and lunch most days, and make my own coffee.

But my TA are the people who think that they have to use a quarter of a bottle every time they wash so much as a spoon. The sink is a mass of suds, and from past experience of housemates, I find that the people who do this generally have no clue how to even wash a dish. Same people who take a fresh sponge and go to clean a saucepan without rinsing the bolognes/ curry sauce first

I brought my favourite green Pilot pen with me on a flight for a work trip last week and now the ink is leaking out the tip.
My hands are covered in the stuff. Had to tell them in work I was making Christmas cards at the weekend :pac:

My god that's akin to not rinsing off food on plates for the dishwasher.

So sorry to hear about that :(

TA’d at people who text you at half 9 at night and ask if you’re busy. Uhhh yeah, I am now, I’m in bed and I’m not leaving for the night. If you wanted to do something you should’ve asked earlier

Modern day parents. If you need Elf on the Shelf to discipline your children this christmas season, then you have messed up in that department somewhere along the way.

A swift 'no' must have gone the way of the dinosaurs.

When I was younger I didn't need an elf on the shelf to encourage me to behave around Christmas.

Do you know why because I had a belt on the shelf to motivate me to behave the whole year around.

People feeling aggrieved on others behalf even if the other person isn't all that bothered.

    Also, passive aggressiveness.

Was put out of my house last night over a security alert (welcome to lovely Belfast folks).
Most upsetting was not being able to get in to feed my cat (we eventually got a PSNI escort in at 10pm to feed her and grab a few bits) but just knowing that you're not allowed to be in your own house and have effectively been made homeless by a few wee scumbags is just so infuriating.

My sticky tape dispenser has a bad cutting edge on it. So every time I roll off a piece to wrap the Christmas pressies it gets all twisted and mangled and useless.

Every so often I have this dream that I am lost in a city .I go into a shop and come out and cant find my way so wander around city streets getting more and more lost .Like this morning I then wake up disorientated and lost and it takes ages to shake off that lost feeling .

If it's who I think it is, she was about to get banned for being a rereg of a previously sitebanned poster. Jumped before she was pushed by the looks of things.
