Just thought I'd pass on the following archive I was lucky to come across of the Standard Newspaper

    http://standard.udesa.edu.ar

Only the first four years are digitized but hopefully more down the line..
TheUniveristy which now hold the archive gave me the follwoing info:

The whole Standard collection was delivered to the Max von Buch library, which lives inside one of the most prestigious Universities in Argentina, the St. Andrew’s University. The state of the newspaper was so terrible that the Library executed the recovery of each and every one of the issues, and is (I believe) in the process of digitalizing it so it can be seen online. I’m not certain if this will be paid or free but you can certainly contact the following people who are responsible for the recovery of the whole collection of the Standard:

The Buenos Aires Standard, published weekly, later daily, from 1861 to 1959, and founded by brothers Michael George Mulhall (1836-1900) and Edward Thomas Mulhall (1832-1899)
