This forum is for the discussion of all things jazz & blues. This includes musicians, venues, recordings, playing styles etc. There is also a Soul/R 'n' B/Funk board - if you think a topic would be more suited to that forum then please make your way over there, they could probably do with the traffic.

A few things to keep in mind:

    Copyright Material
No linking to illegal/copyrighted material or discussion of how to obtain it, unless that copyright is held by you. This includes MP3s, tabs, sheet music scans etc. Those that do so will be banned.

    Offering lessons
All offers for lessons should be made through Adverts.ie. Any threads offering lessons here will be deleted.

    Advertising
If there's an upcoming jazz or blues gig that you think would interest readers of this board, please post it in the Upcoming Jazz & Blues Gigs sticky. But keep it discreet - text only, no giant poster images. If you intend to post the same information on other music boards too, this will be considered spamming - see below. All other advertisement threads will be deleted & posters banned... if you want to advertise, get in touch with the admins and pay for a banner image.

    Spamming
If you've only come here in order to spam this and other boards with the same link/info/advertisement, then don't bother. The topics will be deleted, and you'll most likely be banned from the whole of boards.ie.

    Personal Abuse
I've really no time for this, so if someone persists in being abusive then they'll get an indefinite ban.

    Everything else
Apart from the above, the usual boards.ie rules apply - no acting the muppet, trolling, flaming etc.

It's pretty relaxed in here otherwise, feel free to join in.
    satch
