Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Ring Alarm

I noticed that the Ring alarm has been just made available in the UK. My wife is presently in the US. The Ring alarm is quite a bit cheaper there. Is there any reason i should buy the UK over the US one? Does the US alarm work in Ireland? I am Ok that there is no cellular backup and no professional monitoring...

Sorry for the late post, but I'll just mention in case others come across this.

Ring uses Z-wave, which use different radio frequencies in the US to Europe. Using a US device in Europe would be illegal and quiet likely to suffer from interference and would not be compatible with extra devices sold here.
