Change of vehicle OVERCHARGING

Got a quote for my crew-cab 2 weeks ago €410.
(nissan navara 2.5td €8000 5 seats)
Called today to change vehicle to a van.
(ford transit connect 1.8 €2500 2 seats)
Told it would be €88 extra.
That would put premium at €498
Getting quotes around €300 from 3 other companies.
Now i'll have to go through all the hassle of changing policy plus cancellation fee of €50 plus the whole day today wasted on the phone..
It seems like quote devil give a good quote to new customers but try to screw existing customers over.

I am sorry to hear this. We are an independent broker and we always give the best price that we can whether it is to new or existing customers. Some insurers may be very competitive on a certain type of vehicle but less competitive on others. This means that when we go to them to get a price for the change of vehicle occasionally the premium goes up.
