So I'm looking for the civil marriage of Nicholas Irwin and Martha Mills. They married 16/9/1872 in Cork South Parish & the church copy (without parents) is on Irishgenealogy. But no civil. I started looking for other couples married around that date in the same church and can't find them either. Thinking the priest didn't…

But no civil.

I started looking for other couples married around that date in the same church and can't find them either.

Thinking the priest didn't do his homework but would appreciate a second opinion.

I had a similar issue with a Mullingar marriage c 1879. Others on same page also missing from Civil register. I was years looking for it and then disappointed at sparse detail in church register.
