If Saracens win tomorrow is it Leinster v Saracens then?

    Some reward.

Absolute best time to get them.

Sarries get 4 points then Leinster v Sarries
R92 win then Leinster v Glasgow

    * am assuming Glaws lose in Toulouse

By the time the quarter rolls around Sarries could be confirmed relegated and not allowed to compete in the Champions Cup next season even if they win it.

Curtis out like a light after getting that knock. Scary stuff for the young lad.

Just announced they are to be relegated alright. Could make them more up for winning tomorrow if anything.

All the more reason they'll really want to go for winning it again this year surely? They've nothing else now to play for.

But the question is if the players really care? A good portion of them potentially won't be Sarries players next season if they invoke their release clauses. There's been a lot said about Saracen's "culture" but that's been all well and good when they were top of the domestic league and pumping money into the player's futures.

Well we'll see. They will think of themselves as victims etc. and do it for the supporters. Owen Farrell is not the type of character to give anything but his best.
I predict a bonus point win for them tomorrow.

Yeah if anything I think it could be this. Playing in front of their fans at home. Doesn't matter what they do in Premiership as they will be relegated anyways and don't have a hope of winning it either way. Will go all out to be in the qfs

I'd say this will be the case. The ultimate middle finger to go win Europe.

Every single player in that squad is in the shop window for the rest of the season, there will be no shortage of motivation. They also have the opportunity to make a bit of a statement by winning the Champions Cup.

Going to be a fascinating season provided they qualify to the last 8 tomorrow.

    Brilliant
    Bastards

Would not fancy playing them now

I’d love to see Exeter v Saracens

The ultimate rugby good v evil!

Sarries opted for relegation instead of opening the books for full audit. Player hung out to dry there. They may not give a sh1t tmrw

Things must be even worse then expected if they chose relegation.. Surely that decision alone would ring alarm bells? You'd wonder was a certain Irish football administrator moonlighting there tbh, it's that bad..!

Is there no good sportsman ship clause in Champions Cup? Like: no club will bring the competition into disrepute? Could European rugby kick them out too? After all they shouldn’t have qualified for previous tournaments when they were cheating.

You'd rather someone like Leinster just go out and hammer them. Far sweeter.

Sarries players meet the board Monday and tuesday. Can't imagine they will all be fully focused tomorrow when they literally have to do consider their futures in the next 25 to 48 hours

Or Racing so there's not questions around Saracens being able to get into knock-outs this season.

But yeah think cos it's end of pool stages they could hardly kick them out if they qualify. Whether rules change between now and next time Saracens may be eligible to play in CC is another question.

If they're relegated for 21/22 season, best case scenario is they are promoted for 22/23 and qualify for Europe to play in the 23/24 season. Should make the next few seasons a bit more open.

Their best players will probably be coming in on the back of a grand slam, and they'll be gunning to win one last trophy with the club

It would be a horror draw for Leinster (who lest we forget nearly lost to Ulster last year at this stage). They would absolutely thump any of the other possibilities

The brilliantly ironic thing about their relegation: no salary cap in the championship

They need to obey the cap to be promoted.

If Leinster have to play Saracens then at home in a QF is the best place to do it. Leinster would be strong favourites.

At the end of season no?
i.e keep Farrell and co. on current contracts. Win promotion. “Organise” books for new season showing they will be in accordance with cap.

Yeah the timing of announcement is interesting. Night before their last pool game. It was probably inevitable with all speculation in media and players probably knew in advance but still

It's not that easy to 'cook' accounts. Hence their reluctance to show them now and how they got caught in the first place.

Nope. They won't be able to be promoted next season under the current salary cap regulations. They'd have to show their compliance to the cap for the 2019/20 season, and the previous season (this season)
