No no swiwi I measured it on my TV, was exactly a mile.

Can I borrow your measuring tape? I...eh....I need to show my wife something.

The 6N would be almost better by dumping Italy and Scotland and doing home away. Would become 6 rather than 5 games though.

Obviously loss of gate receipts, along with myriad other reasons, wouldn't allow it, but I always thought Italy could have been allowed a number of years with all their fixtures played at home in 6n.

Harris hit a ruck earlier running in from his position completely in at the side.

    Both teams are shockingly bad.

Scotland celebrating their first try like they’d won a grand slam just shows how far they’ve fallen.

Italians buying every dummy going then making poor decisions and Scotland fumbling constantly, rinse and repeat.

Has either team played any different over the last few years?

    The tide is turning…

Great discipline by Scotland in that passage of play

This match might be the straw that breaks the camels back for me with Italy and the six nations.

Much more hunger from Scotland, half the Italian team just going through the motions. Embarrassment.

15 turnovers is ridiculous. Italy are beating themselves again

    Italy are worse than Venjur.

Yeah, they’re making actually making Scotland look good!

Well, good is a strong word. Maybe less shít would be a better fit.

The last line out was clearly a penalty, interfering with the jumper.

I've lost the will to live watching this sh!te

Hastings needs to be hooked off immediately... He's adding the grand total of nothing to this Scottish team... Even no neck dunkie couldnt be worse

Edit : just checked and no replacement 10 on the bench

Polledri is a great replacement for Parisse in that he’s incredibly skilful and a great player but he’s also incredibly self indulgent with his carries.

Perfect replacement for Parisse then ;)

Horne for Price (which sounds like a sex ad) would help the Scottish backline a lot, type of player once he gets his chance you can see him kick on,

Cana is a terrible 12. And Hastings is an atrocious 10. Get Finn Russell back in. Tbh I reckon Townsend gets fired at the end of the 6n. He’s achieved nothing.

Ireland -28 v Italy looks safe enough.

Italy building up for a drop goal here.

Ref calls the advantage after the TMO review and Scotland immediately kill a ruck. Instantly.

    Cana is willing but he’s a 10, a slight 10 too.

I was going to say I feel sorry for the Scottish fans but then I remembered a) the weather in Scotland has been atrocious for two weeks straighT so it’s a nice break and b) they’re Scottish, so fück em

What do they mean by dominant tackle in those stats screens they bring up?

  • Subscribers Posts: 40,953 ✭✭✭✭sydthebeat

    Italy need Fijian wingers

    This is pathetic

Someone tell Ben Kay that Italy have been "building to something" for 20 years now.

Generally a tackle that stops the carrier dead, rather than your textbook tackle where the ball is a foot or two behind so technically ground gained.

The sort of stat that Jonnny Gray hates.

Italy nilled for two out of three games this year....

They are not building or progressing....they are going backwards.

Agreed, I'm done defending their involvement in top flight rugby.

Drop them and go back to the 5N or replace them with South Africa.

They add nothing to this competition other than a deciding vote in the championship every time it's won on points difference.
