Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Taking ovranette, period late

    Writing on behalf of my girlfriend: Im on my first month of Ovranette contraceptive pill. In the first week of taking the pill (day 6) i vomited but i think it may have been after the 3 hour window of taking the pill but not 100% sure. I had sex around day 15/16 unprotected but used pull out method not great i know. I have taking every pill on time throughout the month. Im now on day 4 of my non pill week and no period yet is this normal or what are my chances of pregnancy?

    Your best bet is a pregnancy test. Your body might just be adjusting, and you may not get a period this time, or you might get a light bleed once you start back on taking it again. Ovranette didn't agree with me and I used vomit once a week on it. The doctor eventually changed me a different brand, and I was fine.

    You really should go to the doctor with all contraceptive related questions you have. They will be best placed to advise you, and will have seen and heard all kinds of scenarios.

    Phobia of pregnancy!! Haha nah wouldnt let me put it anywhere else in a different catagory

    Did a pregnancy test, negative thank god!! I guess just my body isnt used to all the hormone changes then? Strange though i was on ovranette 3 years ago and cant remember missing a period.

    I just do not understand why people will not do a pregnancy test first. And then ask on a board what to do if that becomes necessary.
