Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Some important points to note:
    1. Be on time for your games, delaying the start of a game will result in your opposition being awarded a goal for every 5 minutes you delay the start.

    2. Make sure you have a properly pumped football, not having one will result in your opposition being awarded a goal.

    3. Sliding tackles are not permitted.

    4. A yellow card results in 5 minutes off the pitch for the offending player.

    5. Studded footwear is not permitted, either moulded or regular studs. Astro-Turf shoes are permitted and encouraged.

    6. Shin guards must be worn by all players.

    7. Teams must have a consistent set of jerseys for all players.
    (We do not expect teams to buy expensive kits, just make sure your team are all wearing the same tops)

    8. If you cannot attend a fixture you will concede a 0-3 walkover, you must contact your opponents and the league.
    To concede a fixture and notify all parties, login, click Fixtures/Results and click the Concede Match button for the fixture

    9. You must enter your results and scorers as soon as possible after your games.
    To do this:
    Login using your username and password, click here
    Click Fixtures/Results on the left hand side
    Enter both your own AND your opponents scores
    Click the week number to enter your scorers

    10. If a player from your team is red carded you must email in that players name on the next working day.
    A straight red card results in an automatic 2 match suspension
    Double yellow results in an automatic 1 match suspension
    These suspensions are automatic and require no notification, teams playing a suspended player automatically lose the game in which the player plays.
    Longer suspensions can be imposed depending on the nature of the offence.

    11. Communication from the league is by email only, save for late changes which will be made by phone/text, it is each teams responsibility to have a minimum of three valid contacts registered with us, failure to do so will cause you to miss important messages.

    12. Most of all, enjoy the games, it's meant to be fun!

    the full irish beat BNY 2-1, will be a tough game next week.

    We were 3-1 up and gave up a draw.

    Leta make sure that doesnt happen again.

    We've a "Plate" game, it's a second competition for all teams beaten in the cup first round.

    Friday 10th July.
    Hi Lads,

    Your first round plate game will be played as below.

    Offside will not be played in cup games
    Cup/Plate games are 50 minutes in duration, to allow for penalties in the event of a draw.
    If a game finishes in a draw, the game will be decided by a penalty shootout
    Teams have 5 penalties each followed by sudden death if tied after 5 penalties
    Only players on the pitch at the end of the game can take a penalty.

    Remember that each team has to pay 12 euro for the referee fees on the night of the game.
