Are you the next big thing?, do you have a bubbly personality or just a great passion for radio.
If you match this criteria, we want you!

We are a hot adult contemporary station looking for presenters to volunteer for various slots throughout the week. To be considered for this job you will need:
-A stable internet connection
-A music collection
-A microphone

We aren't looking for short linking jocks with little charisma, we want presenters with personality and passion for what they do. A knowledge of music or simply even just a bit of humor is all it takes to rock the airwaves.

We would ask are presenters to commit to a daily or weekly slot.
ie. Weekdays:
Drivetime (4-7), Mid-Morning (10-1), Evening (7-10), Breakfast (6-10).

Specialist programming overnight and during weekend hours is applicable to this application eg. dance or indie music shows

Whilst we try to keep most of our programming exclusive to our own station, we would except syndicated music, speech or dance shows to apply.

Email your demo (MP3) no longer than 3 minutes
your previous experience (if any)
and your contact details
to gavindowd@live.co.uk

Good Luck applying!

Volunteering

Want to be on Radio?

Have you ever listened to the radio and thought: ‘Why do they never play……’ or ‘why does no one talk about….?’ become a community activist yourself on Near fm.

There are are different ways you can get involved.

You can host your own programme.

If you’d like to host your own weekly/fortnightly/monthly radio show you’ll need to do our short course ‘Introduction to Community Media’, which we offer twice a year. Email Dorothee@near.ie for more information.

‘The next training will be during Spring 2013.’

8Radio.com is a new online radio station from Dublin which will commence broadcasts in Spring 2013. The 8Radio musical philosophy is simple – “Playing the music we like”. This means playing the songs we like, regardless of genre, with all choices being based on song quality.

8Radio.com is now recruiting volunteer presenters and backroom staff for its online launch in early March and temporary FM broadcasts which will run at weekends from late March to late June 2013. Presenters will be expected to be available for approximately 4 hours per week for the 8Radio.com online schedule and a further 4 hours at weekends while the temporary FM service is running. Backroom staff will be expected to be available for approximately 4 hours per week.

Before applying, all potential applicants are asked to listen to a sample of the 8Radio.com output on our website or via TuneIn. If you believe you can work within the format of 8Radio.com then we want to hear from you. If you have a programme proposal that you think will compliment the 8Radio.com philosophy then we would also like to hear from you. Some previous radio experience is desirable.

8Radio.com is also looking to hear from those with an interest in the other areas of its operation including Researchers, Web Designers, Technicians and those interested in Sales and Promotions.

Please submit applications, including a 2 minute voice demo (for presentation positions) and details of your experience/qualifications to 8Radio.com by Friday February 15th.

Email applications and queries to: onair@8Radio.com

All applications will be dealt with in the strictest of confidence.

Are you entertaining and different? Do you think that you could bring something unique to iRadio? Yeah? Let’s talk!
iRadio is a 15-34 regional station that covers a total of fifteen counties across the West, North West, Midlands and North East. iRadio now has a combined weekly audience of 342,000 and we’re still growing!
We’re looking for an experienced on air presenter to join our weekend line up. You need to be a real team player with a positive attitude and a desire to succeed.
You should have at least 2 years experience on air (part time or full time) in a commercial radio station. You will need to be able to target and understand our demographic.
It’s exciting times at iRadio and we have some pretty amazing things planned for 2013!
This position is based at our broadcast facilities in Athlone and we provide free bread and butter which is handy the week before payday ☺

Interested?

Right, definitely last call for volunteers to work on 8Radio.com Presenters, techies, web types and researchers, this is your chance to be involved at the start of a brand new station and a chance to broadcast to a potential audience of about 1.5 million people during the temporary FM licence. Not bad eh? Anyway, all the details are at www.8radio.com/home/getinvolved/ Closing date is Friday afternoon at 5pm.

Mods, I tried to merge this with the original post about the recruitment campaign but I wasn't bright enough to pull it off. Amend/move at will!
