House raffles have become a popular fundraising initiative for GAA clubs and county boards around the country.
Back in February 2020, the most famous of these competitions was for the Barnwell Woods estate in Dublin 15, a property worth €375,000 became the first win a house competition to ever successfully reach completion.

According to RTÉ news, the celebrating family 'entered the draw for the three bedroom property in Barnwell at the end of last year, after seeing an ad on Facebook. The €100-a-ticket raffle was organised by the Cavan GAA County Board to raise funds for a new GAA centre of excellence beside the county grounds at Breffni Park."

A 3-bedroom house worth over €400,000 in Maynooth, Co. Kildare is on offer in this competition. There are a maximum number of Memberships available of 12,000. Therefore we estimate around 12,000 tickets will need to be sold for the property to be won.

All proceeds go to the building and development of the Faythe Harriers GAA facility. Unfortunately due to Covid 19 restrictions, the Main House Draw that was scheduled to take place on the 31st December, then 3rd May 2020 but has moved again and will be taking place on the 8th June 2020 at Chadwicks Wexford Park.

Donegal GAA and Club Donegal have restarted selling tickets for the 'Win Your House in Dublin Draw.'
