Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    For me it's either Rainbow's 'Long Live Rock N Roll' or Jethro Tull's 'Broadsword and The Beast'. I've been listening to both regularly since I was about 6 and still not tired of them.

    For me my favourite rock album is Deep Purple's Machine Head.
    I just wish the song "When a blind man cries" was included on the original album instead of using it as a B side to a single.

    Riot - Fire Down Under is well worth listening to. The opening riff to 'Sword and Tequila' should sound very familiar!

    I always revert back to the first 2 rock albums I bought, both are live albums and both are from the era of OTT solos.
    Made in Japan- Deep Purple
    The Song Remains the Same - Led Zeppelin
    Deep Purple in particular took me on an amazing journey through Rainbow, Elf, Whitesnake, Glenn Hughes, Tommy Bolin, Gillian and many more.
    Green Bullfrog was a particular nice find.

    The doors LA Woman captures as close to a perfect album for me as there could be - and Zeppelin II.
    Favourite live would be Neil Young's recent Live at the cellardoor...

    Rumours though is just a perfect example of album done right also.

    Tenacious D obviously stand alone above everyone else. Goes without saying really.
