Unpaid Services - Small Claim?

I worked for a company last year as a full-time [freelancer] and I would invoice them through my VAT-registered company. They had promised accommodation on site, but when I commenced work, I found out that they don't have any accommodation ready, so they made me move every week from one holiday home to another B&B, etc. till I quit after a few warnings and them neglecting it.

They then decided to take out some of my wage for the rent while they had agreed that they were not going to charge me for those temporary accommodations.

I lost and got damaged property as a result of all these moves but I thought if they only pay me what they owe me, I'll be alright and move on, as proving damaged/lost property might get tedious.

I tried Small Claims Court last year but it never got processed till I followed up on the phone a few times to be told they can't deal with this and reject my case (which seemed more like trying to get rid of the case because they were too busy!!)

I also couldn't proceed with the WRC because the Welfare investigations took longer than a year and WRC rejected it right away because it was over a year timeframe.

Since the money owed is less than €1000, I want to try it again with the Small Claims Court but I'd like to know which "Claim Basis" and "Claim Goods" categories I should select.

Is there any other way I could approach to get my money without having to spend twice the price on a solicitor or something? (I've also tried many different Citizen Information solicitors without any straightforward advice).
