    I was thinking.

How about a photographic thread where we can post up photos or video clips of photos/clips which represent our different styles.

It can be something you've taken yourself, of yourself. Or a particularly good club/competion photo.

Or even an online find which you feel captures either what you feel your particular style represents, or capturing a special or funny moment in time.

I'm sure you guys have the drift.

Its late now, so I'll get searching my files. But if the night owls are online feel free to start posting.

not trying to tout for work - as I'm fairly busy anyway - but if anyone is fighting in a competition and wants some photos done- drop me a PM.

    (not looking for money)

EDIT: if I'm available I'll turn up and do a few shots

Good idea for a thread. I still have a long way to go with my photography skills, I only got my first DSLR last March.

Here are a couple of photos I took last year when Abe Ichiro-sensei, Kodokan 10 Dan, came to Finland. One is a funny moment when he was teaching Ju no Kata and the other is a fine example of the modern self defence kata, Kodokan Goshin Jutsu. Remember that Abe-sensei is around 86 years old but displays amazing rigor, position and effect!

There is a guy here in Finland that's been taking Judo photos for a few years and takes some very good shots, these are from the Finnish youth championships last year:

No not the KO, KO's are fine if the technique is clean. Apparently the reff called a halt a few seconds before the I threw the left. Neither myself or the spanish dude heard a thing.

    My turn I guess.

First one doesn't represent Judo (my style), however I love it because it captures how exciting local MMA is and how we can get up close and personal. it also captures a brilliant moment caught by two photographers - the same very photo taken from two different angles..

The top photo was taken by our friend 'Perfect Fit' and the bottom by me.

This next photo is more in keeping in line with the forum (sorry for the slight diversion to MMA) and is along the same fun lines as Meave's photo above..

Why I love Judo!.. (looks like two girls sharing a kiss!!)

    attachment.php?attachmentid=88075&stc=1&d=1250266111

And this one I suppose is very special to me.

Its a presentation the Daigokan Judo Club gave to its chief instructor John Douglas on his 70th birthday, it also represents John's 50th year teaching Judo!..

    attachment.php?attachmentid=88076&stc=1&d=1250266305

    Enjoy!.

Come on lads, where's all the Kyokushin Karate, Shotokan Karate, Kendo, Kung Fu etc guys?...

A photo doesn't have to be of you, or your club - but something which you think show's the spirit of your fighting style, or something funny.

Even throw in some MMA if thats what you do but just browse this forum (once your a participant).

Here's a little youtube clip which I love, I often watch this before training.

This is a pretty good cross section of a lot of the training involved in Sayoc. The only bad part about watching it again is thinking of the lonnnnnng days in that Florida furnace:)
