I want an Outdoor 1080p (4k also good) 30fps continuous recording security camera that records to an SD Card internally. The memory should be accessible via WIFI for retrieval.

Ideally the framerate would be customisable so that i could reduce it as required to minimise the video file size.

    Any recommendations?

Im looking for a camera which is of a good quality. Being able to read a registration place should be the very minimum that a security camera can do.

If i point my 4 year old phone out the window and record a 720p video i can read the registration plates of the cars without any problems.

Surely a dedicated camera shouldnt have any problems accomplishing the same?

Seems like i might be better of rigging up my old phone as a security camera.

Different cameras can be used to do different tasks.

If you are looking to capture reg plates then a reg plate cameras is what I would recommend. Hik Vision have good dark fighter options for night time also.
