Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    This week was the first week someone didn't enter a team. Haven't really got a precedent for this, do people think its ok to just use their team from last week as long as it still fits the price brackets? For reference (I haven't checked its eligibility in terms of price yet), Klopparama's team would have scored 65 this week.


    Whatever we go with, will obviously be a precedent going forward in these instances. Obviously since this wasn't included as a rule in the beginning, even one objection being raised would mean that would not be the case and a non-entry would mean 0. I personally do not object.

    I don’t object to that since there was no precedence but I think there should be some penalty in future, 30 points would be my preference. And if you’re team no longer fitted the budget your most expensive player downgraded to the next highest scoring player that got you back within budget

    No issues with allowing the score - many times I've been very close to forgetting to enter a team so can easily happen. I don't think a penalty is necessary as in theory the team should be weaker as it hasn't been selected for the GW in question so that should be enough of a penalty (although Klopps team did score well regardless this week).

    If the team should be over budget then perhaps the most expensive player is excluded from the team and the first sub subbed in in his place.

    To be honest, given Klopparama has already decided to give it up, and there’s been varying degrees of dissent over the idea, now is a good opportunity for me to draw a line under it and say that missing deadline would result in a 0.

    We will leave it at that and hope we don’t have to deal with that situation with anyone for the weeks to come.

    0 seems a bit harsh, especially if it's a double week. We don't know what people's circumstances are. I would favour the previous week's team and a 30 point penalty, but happy to go with the flow.
