I searched this and seen posts from 9 and 10 years ago. Basically I'll be on a flying visit to London city centre on Saturday, doing the tourist thing, and wondered if there were any reputable used camera shops in or around the obvious tourist areas, Oxford St to Picadilly circus to Westminster...
Not looking top end stuff, maybe a flash trigger for a speedlite, or an 18-135 aps c canon lens or similar etc etc.
I'll be killing a few hours around Crawley on Sunday also just in case anyone knows of any down there.

    Cheers.

For Nikon kit try Grays of Westminster

Be mindful that Gray's close early on Saturday's (around 1ish I think). They only sell Nikon.

All of these are in town and sell 2nd hand gears.

London camera exchange is on the Strand, right in the centre of town. It's a small shop but has a lot of gear for sale.

Park Cameras, just off Oxford street, has a second hand section which is decent. Good camera shop overall.

Camera world is a few streets along from Park Cameras, and has a small second hand section. Pretty good store for it's smaller size.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks Adrian and Silva360.
Grays would be no good to me as they seem to be exclusivly Nikon and I am looking for Canon gear.
I saw a 24 mm f2.8 on the Park website yesterday that wet my apetite a bit for £100.00. Couldn't see the 18-135 on any of the above mentioned sites but a walk around the shops might result in something.
    Cheers.

If that's the regular EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM, that price is nothing special. It's for sale new at 110€ via one of my preferred French online retailers, and I'm nearly certain I didn't pay over €100 when I bought mine a few years ago.

I'm not sure it's even the STM version, I haven't contacted them yet.
It in Aperture actually, not Park's.
Some of the other shops have them and they seem to be £144.
€110 sounds like a great price.

Do they deliver to Ireland or the UK? From what I can see they only deliver to France and Belgium. Some decent prices on there if they do.

I haven't looked into it recently, and I don't they do but they have some kind of link with a courrier service that does. Would probably make the price a lot less competitive, though.

What you can arrange, though, is for your parcel to be delivered to a Carrefour supermarket of your choice and pick it up (or have a friend do so) when you're on holidays in France.

A lot of other French online sites also deliver to a relay point (local retailer). Not as convenient as Parcel Motel, but they'll hold the package for you for longer.

    Thanks Reptiledan, that's great
I hadn't figured Jessops done any used stuff.

Thanks again, WEX have a 18-135 for £167 and a 24mm f2.8 for £134 so they will be worth a visit too.

Just a quick update. I landed into London city centre in the middle of the 2019 pride parade so needless to say with over a million people in attendance my movements were very restricted.
the only place I got to was Jessops on Oxford St. who open until 9.pm. They didn't have ANY used gear in the store and as I was trying to look into the small Canon display case an employee was polishing the glass, and polishing the glass, and polishing the glass!! I t was almost as if he didn't want me to buy anything, so I didn't.
I'll get what I want online anyway.
    Cheers.

Really useful thread for future reference, so I thought I’d add a link to the Aperture store that was mentioned in an earlier post. They have two branches close by to each other, one with a coffee shop. I’ve had a really positive experience with them and always wander when in London. That said, I think that we are as well served, if not better, by the shops in Dublin for both 2nd hand and new kit.
